Summary of Attendance at the Pamoja Post‑Conference Convening, Nairobi (19 June 2026)

I attended the Pamoja Post-Conference Convening held on 19 June 2026 at the Argyle Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya on behalf of the Centre for Community Law. The convening was organized following the African Regional Convening (ARJC) and brought together Pamoja and Latin American (LATAM) partners to reflect on progress, share experiences, and develop strategies for future collaboration.

The convening provided an opportunity for participants to engage in discussions on program implementation, strategic communications, advocacy, litigation and to engage with other partners.

During the discussions on strategic litigation, our Centre emphasized the importance of research-based evidence in advancing impactful litigation. We highlighted that successful strategic litigation requires not only sound legal arguments but also credible empirical data capable of demonstrating patterns, trends, and the real-life impact of laws and policies on affected persons.

Finally, the Pamoja Post-Conference Convening provided a valuable platform for reflection, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning. It reinforced the importance of collaboration among partners and underscored the need for research-driven advocacy and litigation.
