Hello Sustainability Enthusiasts!
Plastic waste is not just hurting the oceans — they are hurting our cities. They mess up our rivers, make our cities filthy, block drains, and cause flooding. That’s precisely why we want to take action together with you.
Join us at the Plastic Waste Cleanup Day 2026 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. Get to know the Centre for Community and Oceanic Law SDGs Team personally, network with other sustainability enthusiasts, and join us in making your city a little cleaner.
What You Can Expect
🎓 Plastic Waste Management Education
Engaging sessions delivered by the Centre for Community and Oceanic Law SDGs Team and partners — learn the facts, understand the impact, and discover what you can do.
🤝 Networking, Snacks & Drinks
Over refreshments, exchange ideas and connect with our team and fellow participants who share a passion for sustainability and community action.
🧹 Community Cleanup
Then we go outside: together we collect trash from parks, streets, and riverbanks for approximately 2 hours — setting a visible example of local responsibility with global impact.
📢 We Will Be Live!
Stand up and be counted. Share your efforts online and join a growing community committed to real change. All necessary equipment will be provided — gloves, litter pickers, and garbage bags.
