We support, Educate and enlighten citizens of ECOWAS on ECOWAS laws and the jurisprudence of ECOWAS Community Court.
We engage the citizens of ECOWAS to deepen their understanding of the fundamental principles and operations of the organization, enlightening them of their rights and responsibilities under ECOWAS law. Our ultimate goal is to enable citizens to confidently and lawfully assert their rights while fulfilling their obligations. Simultaneously, we work with national governments to foster adherence to their commitments under ECOWAS frameworks.
We actively advance the development of ECOWAS laws and the engagement of ECOWAS States with the economic potentials of the sea and its stewardship through comprehensive research, public enlightenment initiatives, and the organization of seminars, workshops, and roundtables.
Amos is a Professor of Public International Law at the University of Benin. He has an ardent interest in the law of the sea and integration law, especially as it concerns ECOWAS. He is a resource person to the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice and a legal aid counsel at the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
Anthony Osaro Ewere, Ph.D Ewere is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and Professor of Law within the Department of Private and Property Law, Faculty of Law, University of Benin. He has a strong interest in human rights, especially as it relates to the rights of women.
Michael is a vibrant and dynamic legal practitioner. He has a strong zeal for research and practical aspects of legal practice, both locally and internationally. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Benin.
Dr. Dandy Nwaogu is an Associate Professor within the Department of Jurisprudence and international Law, University of Benin. He is currently the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law. He has a strong interest in international law, human rights, and oil and gas law.
